The Opportunity

The Accounting Analyst will provide temporary operational support to the Accounting Operations team who are tasked with balancing both ongoing operational responsibilities and key activities associated with the NetSuite ERP reimplementation. You will help maintain continuity and ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end close activities, financial reporting, and compliance deliverables.


You will collaborate closely with teams across the Finance organization to investigate discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and improve accounting processes. You will take ownership of assigned responsibilities, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and provide flexible support as business and project priorities evolve.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide operational coverage and continuity support for assigned accounting and compliance activities during the NetSuite ERP reimplementation, ensuring critical deliverables and deadlines are met while supporting business continuity.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and analyze general ledger account reconciliations, investigate unusual transactions and variances, and resolve reconciling items, aged balances, and historical discrepancies through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist with quarterly transfer pricing calculations, prepare monthly intercompany revenue accruals, and support intercompany settlement and payment-clearing activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
  • Prepare and submit purchase requisitions in NetSuite for accounting, audit, and other professional services, ensuring appropriate coding, and complete supporting documentation. Review and validate vendor invoices against approved purchase order terms and services received.
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of supporting documentation and timely responses to auditor requests.
  • Coordinate and respond to requests from external service providers, compile supporting documentation, and follow up on outstanding requests.
  • Prepare and submit mandatory government surveys, including Statistics Canada and U.S. Census Bureau filings, and other applicable government agencies, ensuring completeness and timeliness.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve, standardize and automate accounting processes and controls.
  • Provide flexible support across Accounting Operations to address changing priorities, workload requirements, and resource needs.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting-related analyses, reporting requests, and cross-functional initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Accounting or financial analysis experience alongside a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP especially the AP & GL modules
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze accounting transactions, investigate variances, and resolve complex general ledger and reconciliation matters.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and priortise.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

$60,800.00 - $79,800.00

The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.
