- Provide personal care and assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion activities according to the client’s care plan
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant health information
- Observe changes in clients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions, document findings, and report concerns to the Care Manager
- Assist with medication reminders as outlined in care plans
- Assist with meal preparation, cleanup, light housekeeping, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly client environment
- Respect client privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and right to accept or refuse care
- Provide transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and community activities as required
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- Driver's license and own transportation required
- Access to Internet/mobile phone
- Criminal Record Check (recent within 1 year)
- Ability to speak, read and write English fluently
- Be registered in the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Class 5 License
