JOB SUMMARY:Within the context of a patient/client and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, performs a variety of clerical, reception duties such as receiving visitors and patients, scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls, responding to enquiries and requests for release of Medical Imaging report information, prepares imaging requests for electronic transfer utilizing established computerized system. QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience Grade 12 plus two years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to keyboard at 45 wpmKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to deal with others effectivelyAbility to organize workPhysical ability to carry out the duties of the positionAbility to operated related equipment.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
