Credit & Collection Coordinator (full time)

Reporting to the Manager, Credit & Collections, the Credit & Collections Coordinator will be an integral member for the Accounts Receivable Team and utilize their solid experience in collections to deliver on targets as well as support various business initiatives in an ever-changing growth-oriented environment. You are self-motivated, work well in a team environment, have a passion to deliver best-in- class results while supporting the National Order-To-Cash process.
What you will enjoy doing*
- You will assist your leader with projects and initiatives to support best-in-class processes and practices for the Cash Collections function
- Further, you will manage a portfolio of accounts to reduce DSO, bad debt, and write-offs while improving cash flow and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Schedule and participate in periodic status updates with Key Account Managers (KAMs)
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all collection activities
- You shall research and analyze accounts, including payment patterns, sales history, and previous collection efforts, before engaging in follow-up activities
- Reconcile billing and payment discrepancies to ensure accuracy
- Flag “at-risk” accounts to the leadership team and recommend actions for legal or third-party escalation as needed
- In addition, you will follow up with various internal departments to resolve issues and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
What makes you great*
- You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation is an asset
&More than five (5 years) of collections experience in Business to Business and/or Business to Consumer settings, capable of working independently and ethically to improve customer payment profiles - Experience using or strong knowledge of large ERP systems like JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required in this role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingualism in French and English is a strong asset
- You have strong analytical skills with creative problem-solving abilities and a strategic, innovative mindset
- Demonstrated relationship-building and customer service skills, focusing on resolving issues correctly the first time
- Self-starter with excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills, able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with a continuous improvement mindset
- Dependable and accountable team player who can also work independently, remains composed under pressure, provides logical solutions, and maintains excellent attendance and punctuality
