One of our large clients is looking for IMAC Technicians in Winnipeg. Details are as below:
Position: Contract
Location: On-site / Hybrid
No. of Positions: 2
Summary:
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IMAC Technician to manage desktop deployment, hardware/software upgrades, and IT lifecycle services. In this role, you will handle physical and logical technology changes across the organization, ensuring smooth hardware rollouts, system migrations, and prompt user onboarding.
Key Responsibilities

* Installs & Deployments: Set up, configure, and deploy desktop/laptop hardware, peripherals, and software running Windows 10 and Windows 11.

* System Management: Utilize SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) for OS deployment, software distribution, patch updates, and inventory tracking.

* Moves, Adds, & Changes: Execute office relocations, hardware upgrades, user account setup, and equipment re-imaging with minimal disruption to business operations.

* Application Support: Install, configure, and maintain the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.) and line-of-business applications.

* Troubleshooting & Remediation: Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, and software issues during initial setup or escalation processes.

* Inventory & Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, deployments, and equipment decommissioned throughout the hardware lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills

* Technical Proficiency:

  • Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Practical experience using SCCM for image deployment and software package installations.
  • Deep familiarity supporting Microsoft Office Suite apps and cloud productivity tools.

* Problem-Solving:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of OS, driver, and software conflicts quickly.

* Work Ethic:

  • A self-starter who takes initiative, manages daily tasks with minimal supervision, and prioritizes assignments effectively.

* Communication:

  • Clear oral and written communication skills for interfacing with end-users and documenting technical procedures.
