Qualifications:
ISBE certified or ASEP certified
Previous coaching experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Job Summary:
The JV Softball Coach will be responsible for helping build and maintaining the girls' softball program which will include, but not limited to:
- Assist in maintaining levels of competition
- Summer camps for current and prospective players
- Along with the head coach, monitor all athletes academic progress
- Assessing player's skills and assigning positions on the team
- Under direction of the head coach, help organize practice schedule
- Under direction of the head coach, help organize individual practices to provide individual and team development
- Follows team rules and goals that are shared with players and parents
- Follows established procedures in the event of an injury to an athlete
- Ensures all athletes are supervised at all times when involved with team activities
- Is a positive role model and maintains proper sportsmanship on the team at all times
- Helps, maintain an inventory of all equipment
- Attends professional development clinics/conferences specific to girls softball
