JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Manager of Healthy Public Policy, the Knowledge Translation and Communications Lead is accountable for developing, planning, and implementing strategic health promotion communications materials and strategies on behalf of Vancouver Coastal Health’s Office of the Chief MHO. As the lead communications role for health promotion this position plays a crucial role in fulfilling internal and external communication needs in the context of the Healthy Public Policy and KT activities in the OCMHO. Key activities and work products include knowledge translation and knowledge mobilization, data visualization, digital shareables, communication plans and strategies, report layout and graphic design, and strategically supporting campaigns and events or other initiatives to promote population health created within the Office of the Chief MHO.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in communication, desktop publishing and graphic design or equivalent in a relevant discipline supplemented with five to seven (5-7) years of progressive related strategic multimedia communications experience. Knowledge of the health care industry and/or public sector experience is a significant asset.ROLE SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:• Ability to work effectively and proactively with diverse teams engaged in different content areas relating to population health (Environmental, behavioral, and social determinants etc.).• Deep familiarity with and experience using Adobe Creative Suite products.• Competency with data visualization software.
