JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Leader, Recruitment Marketing, the Recruitment Marketing Specialist develops, recommends and executes marketing strategies and plans that support Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) Health Human Resources (HHR) strategy and strategic goals. The role delivers marketing campaigns, projects, and tactical initiatives that help attract and sustain a skilled, diverse workforce to meet current and future population needs.

In addition, the Recruitment Marketing Specialist maximizes VCH’s employer brand positioning and promotes VCH as an employer of choice. Combining strategic insight with tactical execution, the role collaborates with diverse stakeholders to deliver recruitment marketing initiatives, including (but not limited too) advertising, content marketing, creative planning and production coordination for photo and video shoots, event support, and marketing measurement and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Project Management or related field, and five (5) to seven (7) years’ recent, related experience with marketing, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.ROLE SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders, build strong relationships, and confidently provide strategic marketing and communications guidance.- Strong project manager, with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently, and in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success.- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution, inform decision-making, and maximize marketing impact.- Proven expertise in traditional and digital media, including paid media, web, social media, and content marketing, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.- Demonstrates creativity, resourcefulness, and a strong candidate-centric mindset.- Strong financial acumen, with experience developing, managing, and reporting on marketing budgets.- Exercises considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.- Competency in a variety of tools such as Canva, Microsoft Teams, Drupal, SharePoint, and email marketing.- Ability to utilize a variety of relevant software applications at an advanced level including current word processing, spreadsheets, databases and recruitment software- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES:Respect:• You question actions inconsistent with our values.• You treat people with fairness and respect independent of their status or disagreement with you.Performance Excellence:• You inspire others with your thirst for excellence.Learning Organization:• You create an environment where people can flourish and grow.• You seek what is best for the health system, rather than the best for yourself or your group.Courage to Innovate:• You challenge the status quo to improve quality and sustainability.• You take smart risks and make tough decisions without agonizing.
