Job Description



Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Rig Welders to support upcoming work at CNRL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform GTAW and SMAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems.
  • Complete pipe fit-up, spool fabrication, and welding in accordance with project specifications.
  • Read and interpret isometric drawings and welding procedures.
  • Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project schedules and client requirements.
  • Ensure welding equipment and rig are maintained in safe working condition.
  • Follow all site safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, pipefitters, and other trades on site.


Qualifications

  • Alberta Journeyperson Welder Certificate.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal Certification considered an asset.
  • Must provide fully equipped welding rig suitable for industrial site work.
  • F3/F4 (SMAW)
    F6 (GTAW)
    F6/F4 (GTAW/SMAW)
  • Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
