The Senior Technician, Endpoint Support is a senior technical role within Endpoint Support Services. The position provides advanced endpoint technical design, administration, and Tier 3 support across Trillium Health Partners. The role helps ensure that endpoint devices, operating systems, applications, configurations, and management platforms are secure, reliable, supportable, and aligned with organizational standards. Working closely with other Information Services teams, the incumbent leads complex technical work, resolves escalated issues, develops automation and documentation, and provides technical guidance and knowledge transfer to Endpoint Support staff.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Manager, Endpoint Support Services

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working collaboratively with staff, your job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and continuously improve Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager environments used to manage enterprise endpoints.
  • Design, test, package, deploy, update, and remove applications using approved endpoint management platforms, with appropriate validation, change control, rollback planning, and documentation.
  • Create and maintain standardized Windows endpoint builds, provisioning processes, configuration profiles, compliance policies, device collections, deployment rings, and Windows Autopilot workflows.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute endpoint operating system, application, driver, firmware, and security update deployments; monitor compliance and support remediation of vulnerabilities and configuration gaps.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex endpoint incidents and problems, including root cause analysis, corrective action, and documented preventive measures.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts, reports, dashboards, and automation to improve endpoint deployment, administration, compliance, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor the health, capacity, performance, and integration of endpoint management services
  • Administer endpoint identity and access configurations within assigned authority, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, role-based access, and device or user group assignments.
  • Support enterprise Windows devices and, where required, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android endpoints, including enrollment, configuration, application delivery, security controls, and lifecycle activities.
  • Provide technical input and hands-on support for projects, clinical deployments, equipment moves, new site or unit readiness, and service transitions.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, operating procedures, build guides, support knowledge articles, diagrams, standards, and recovery procedures in approved repositories and ServiceNow.
  • Mentor and coach Endpoint Support staff, provide technical guidance, review complex work, and deliver knowledge transfer on endpoint tools, processes, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Apply IT service management practices when managing incidents, requests, problems, changes, assets, and knowledge; ensure work is documented accurately and completed within service expectations.
  • Follow THP privacy, cybersecurity, safety, infection prevention and control, and change management requirements; protect privileged access and sensitive information.
  • Participate in scheduled after-hours work, maintenance windows, on-call coverage, or major incident response as operational needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This role supports a complex multi-site healthcare organization and may work at any Trillium Health Partners location or affiliated site. The position includes desk-based engineering and administration as well as hands-on technical work in clinical and administrative areas. Travel between sites and work outside regular business hours may be required. The role is part of a team supporting services on a 24x7x365 basis and may participate in scheduled maintenance, deployment, or on-call activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Knowledge

  • College diploma or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Windows 10/11 enterprise administration, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
  • Working knowledge of endpoint security, compliance, vulnerability remediation, encryption, least privilege, identity, networking, and secure configuration practices.
  • ITIL Foundation and current Microsoft endpoint administration certification are required.
  • Other relevant Microsoft, ServiceNow, security, or endpoint platform certifications are assets.

Experience

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in endpoint management, systems administration, endpoint engineering, or a comparable enterprise support role.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience administering Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune for software deployment, device configuration, patching, compliance, inventory, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows provisioning, imaging, Autopilot, application packaging, deployment testing, and enterprise release processes.
  • Experience developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts or other automation used for endpoint administration, deployment, reporting, or remediation.
  • Experience administering Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, and role or group-based device management configurations.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex endpoint incidents, coordinating technical escalations, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform for incident, request, problem, change, asset, and knowledge management.
  • Experience in a healthcare, regulated, or large multi-site organization is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills with experience in delivering training and focused presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to coach peers, provide technical guidance, and translate complex technical concepts into clear procedures and support documentation.
