About the company

Our client is a manufacturing company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Embed with operations teams to address practical business challenges through production-grade software. The work spans leading a systems rollout in a plant setting and creating automation and AI-enabled tooling, with ownership of each project from start to finish.

What you'll do

- Lead the rollout of an enterprise resource planning system, including hands-on setup in the plant and design of efficient data capture processes.

- Create and ship internal automation and AI-driven assistants that take over repetitive operational work such as order handling.

- Take ownership of end-to-end application development, including services, system integrations and data flows across business, logistics, commerce and production systems.

- Partner with plant managers and other business colleagues, moving work forward on your own with little supervision.

- Handle a broad mix of technical problems in a project-based role where priorities shift often.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Two or more years of professional software development, including production systems you personally built, released, supported and owned.

- A strong, verifiable record of ongoing public code contributions over several years.

- Daily practice with AI-assisted coding tools, including ways to check output and recover when things go wrong.

- Ability to configure Model Context Protocol integrations.

- Self-directed project leadership and clear communication with non-technical colleagues, including people on the factory floor.

- Comfort working on-site 5 days a week.

- Canadian work authorization.

Bonus points

- Experience in customer-embedded delivery roles.

- Experience doing software engineering at a hardware company.
