Court Services is seeking a Systems Integrator 1 to support the maintenance, integration, and evolution of our technical systems. This role blends legacy system support, integration development, and data migration work, requiring a versatile developer comfortable working across a broad technology stack - from scripting and application development to database management and system integrations, within a public sector environment.
Major Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains business relationships with clients to discuss/assess clients needs.
- Prepares project charter, statements of work and project plans.
- Identifies risks and prepares action plans to mitigate.
- Conducts or leads team in delivery of projects or work packages.
- Liaises and co-ordinates with internal & external groups on accomplishment of deliverables.
- Prepares and presents status report and variance explanation for projects or work packages.
- Prepares findings & "Lessons Learned" from post-implementation project reviews.
- Assesses, analyzes, evaluates and recommends process & policy alternatives for projects & work packages.
- Redesigns business principles, processes, policies and standards by recommending best practices and improvements to current processes.
- Determines business requirements and builds consensus amongst clients.
- Prepares Business Plans, Gap Analysis, Logical Data Models and Design documents for proposed solutions that leverage information & technology as part of the solution.
- Provides input to Data Management teams on transformation of clients' business requirements.
- Recommends improvements to current methodology, process, standards, and policies.
- Assists staff in understanding of business processes and logic.
- Liaises with staff in development of test strategy, test cases & test scripts for system, performance, usability and acceptance testing of system solutions developed.
- Leads team to draft implementation & rollout strategies and plans.
- Conducts walk-through of deliverables to identify potential problems.
- Prepares training material and documentation for use by clients and staff.
- Conducts training for client and their staff.
- Collaborates with clients on "Go / No Go" cut-over decisions e.g. roll-outs.
Key Qualifications:
- Considerable experience working in systems integration, application development, or a related technical role.
- Experience developing or integrating applications using Java, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Experience working with Oracle databases and ETL, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures and supporting data integration.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, including database design, development, data transformation, and data migration.
- Experience with Visual Basic, VBA macros, PowerShell, Windows batch scripting, and VBScript for application development, automation, data processing, or systems support.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 SharePoint and Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric.
You Must Also Have:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification considered an asset
- Experience working with justice, legal, or court systems and technology considered an asset.
- ITIL certification or knowledge of ITIL principles and practices considered an asset.
- Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop practical solutions across legacy and modern technology environments.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow platform concepts, including general understanding of its functionality and use in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including explaining technical concepts, gathering information, facilitating discussions, and building understanding.
- Experience working in or with government or public-sector organizations, including familiarity with government data retention, information management, privacy, security, and compliance requirements considered an asset
