Hours Approximately 2 hours per day, Regular Guards
Other Hours are varied, requiring attendance mornings before school starts and after school, Monday to Friday from September to June. **Crossing Guard assignment location is Cameron (Fenelon Township)
Job Description
- Assist children crossing intersections at crosswalks
- Liaise with school officials regarding any problems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills/Education Required
- Prior Crossing Guard experience an asset
- Effective oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with children, members of the public, and all levels of staff
- Ability to exercise discretion and tact
- Excellent customer service skills at a level to develop and to maintain cooperative working relationships both within and outside the organization
- An acceptable Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector, required upon verbal offer of employment.
